PGx azathioprine
Azathioprine is a thiopurine immunosuppressant used in autoimmune disease and after transplantation, and its most serious adverse effect is severe, potentially fatal bone-marrow suppression. Inherited deficiency of either thiopurine S-methyltransferase (TPMT) or nudix hydrolase 15 (NUDT15) raises this risk. This analysis determines the TPMT and NUDT15 genotype and reports the predicted metaboliser status before or during therapy.
