Overview
Pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy (PDE-ALDH7A1) is caused by deficient α-aminoadipic semialdehyde dehydrogenase activity, leading to pyridoxal 5′-phosphate depletion and intractable seizures responsive to pharmacologic pyridoxine (vitamin B6) supplementation.
