Hypophosphatasia

Overview
Hypophosphatasia is caused by deficient activity of tissue-nonspecific alkaline phosphatase, leading to impaired mineralisation of bone and teeth. Clinical presentation ranges from perinatal lethality from severe skeletal hypomineralisation to mild musculoskeletal and dental manifestations in adults.
