Medicover Genetics Cyprus is pleased to announce the introduction of a Genetic Counselling Service, designed to support patients and healthcare professionals throughout the genetic testing process.

Genetic testing can provide valuable insights into health risks, hereditary conditions, and reproductive planning. The service is available for all Medicover Genetics Cyprus tests, with the exception of and .

Types of counselling available

  • 45-minute consultation
  • Fee: €50

Post-test counselling

A session designed to help patients interpret and understand their genetic test results and their potential implications.

  • Provided free of charge

How the service works

Genetic counselling sessions are conducted either on site at Medicover Genetics Cyprus facilities or remotely via Microsoft Teams, offering flexibility for patients and referring physicians.

Consultations are available in Greek and English. Patients who require another language may arrange external translation support during the session.

How to request a counselling session

Healthcare providers and partner laboratories can request a counselling session by contacting: Lab Support Cyprus

The request should include patient information, the test order or case number, and relevant case details. The genetic counsellor will then contact the patient directly to arrange the appointment.

Through this service, Medicover Genetics aims to further support patients and healthcare professionals by providing expert guidance that complements genetic testing and helps ensure results are clearly understood.
